IB Mission Statement

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

什么是AP课程

AP（Advanced Placement Program，美国大学先修课程）是美国大学理事会College Board提供的在高中授课的大学课程。目的是给一些优秀的学生提前学习大学课程，得到一定的成绩后可获得大学学分的机会。

一般来说，国际学校和美高的学生在选课时都会遵循核心课程→荣誉课程→AP课程这样的难度，AP课是最具挑战性的。

什么是A-Level

A-Level（General Certificate of Education Advanced Level），英国高中教育，它是英国的普通中等教育证书考试高级水平课程，也是英国学生的大学入学考试课程。A-Level课程被几乎所有英语授课的大学作为招收新生的入学标准，学生持三科A-Level合格的考试成绩即可直接申报英国、澳大利亚、美国、加拿大、新加坡、香港、新西兰等150多个国家和地区的11000多所大学。
